Salty Hippy started as a little thrift store built on a foundation of passion for offering more affordable and sustainable fashion. Our little pink thrift store has evolved into something more than we ever imagined. If you have ever visited us in store you will know that it is a space where the vibes are always good and the rails are always full. We hope this platform brings just as much joy to the community as in store shopping does. 

Thanks to your incredible support, Salty Hippy has grown into a community of over 15 000 people across our social media platforms. 

Over the past few months we have received so many messages from people across the country who, after seeing the items that we post online, desperately wish that they could shop with us too. These messages from people who fall in love with our items but are unable to visit the store are heartbreaking. One of the main reasons that we have created this website is so that we can share this joy of thrifting, self-expression, and sustainable fashion with everyone nationwide! 

At the heart of Salty Hippy, our mission is to make high-quality fashion accessible to everyone, hence why all of our pieces in-store, regardless of brands, are sold at R60. We spend hours sourcing clothing that we can offer at this affordable price but often come across incredible pieces that cost over R60 which we have previously passed on to protect the sustainability of the shop. Launching this website has given us the opportunity to grant those more expensive items their chance to be rediscovered and treasured; the price of these garments will align with our website prices which will be slightly higher to account for the extra care and handling of each order, such as the steaming, photographing, storing, packaging, and delivering. 

Most importantly we want you to know, launching this website will never change who we are. We will continue prioritising our in-store customer experience and will continue stocking the rails with amazing finds that are still R60, stylish, branded, expressive and accessible.
